Rare chemmo Posted August 22, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 22, 2017 Thanks for your review. We are on Reflection in March for the first time (although regular x cruisers)... Just a quick question how busy was Michael's Club? It tends to be our preferred venue for pre and post dinner drinks.
eileenover Posted August 22, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted August 22, 2017 Thanks for your review. We are on Reflection in March for the first time (although regular x cruisers)... Just a quick question how busy was Michael's Club? It tends to be our preferred venue for pre and post dinner drinks. Mmm... how long is a piece of string, eh? Well, early evening a fair number in there.... about one third full. Later in the evening varied from nobody to a dozen or so. Afternoon tea sometimes had 20 people in but on other days hardly anyone. During the day, the occasional family/couple/individual. Sadly, the concierges did little to promote the place! On our first X cruise, Ankor, the concierge sent phone messages to everyone promoting the teas, the officers party and most importantly, the private concerts. This pair could have learnt a lot from Ankor and also, on a later cruise, Megan.
Rare villauk Posted August 22, 2017 #4 Share Posted August 22, 2017 Your cruise didn't sound as crowded as the one that followed (ours), possibly because the school holidays had started by the time we boarded. We thought the live music acts were far better than most of the offerings in the theatre. The duo that came after the one you mentioned in your review was also very good. I think the itinerary would have to be exceptional for us to sail on Reflection again during the main holidays - you could definitely tell there was an extra deck of cabins. Thanks for the review ;). Sea days we will often pop into Michael's for a post breakfast coffee, especially if cafe EB is busy...afternoon tea we always prefer in our room but evenings I guess we always want that perfect balance between quiet and heaving! We don't want to struggle to get a seat but it is our mix and mingle time!
