Valencia Port - market/food tour?

Hello!

We are considering a food/market tour in the port of Valencia...perhaps finding some craft beer too. Does anyone recommend a specific guide for this? Or should we do it on our own. The Mercado de Colon and Central Market look interesting.

I didn't see alot to do at this port. Is it walkable from the ship?

Thank you!

I can't see the point in having a guide in the market. You can see what is on display. Opposite the central market is La Lonja, the Old exchange. From there you can walk via the narrow streets via Plaza Redondo to the Cathedral. It may be worth having a guide inside the cathedral.

Valencia has some lovely Baroque architecture and an attractive station and bullring.

Not far away is the Plaza Ayuntamiento with the ceramic museum or you could go to the Lladro factory in Tavernes Blancos.

Valencia also has the Arts and Sciences museum and the world renowned aquarium.

A short bus ridge away from the centre is the nature reserve area of L'Albufera.

It is also the home of paella, so if you don't want to go sightseeing have a paella down at the Beach.

If you couldn't find anything to do in Valencia, then you didn't do much research.

We did the HOHO bus when we were in Valencia. Really enjoyable and gave us a good overview of the city. You could always hop off near the market and visit that as part of the trip.

The bus stops quite near the port and the Tourist Info people in port would be able to show you where to get it.
