Laundry coinage

I believe all or most of the ships have transitioned to using cruise card for machines and detergents, etc. Amounts to be added to your shipboard account. At least this was the case on the Coral this past June.

Will be sailing on the Regal in a little over a week and will be doing laundry onboard. Do the passenger self laundries use tokens or quarters? Thanks
I was on the Regal twice last year. Machines use tokens dispensed from a machine in the laundry area. You do need to swipe your card to obtain the tokens for machines and detergents. I believe all the self service areas are at the stern (aft) of the ship, around cabin 622. The lowest deck with the laundromat is Emerald, deck 8. Deck plans for each ship are available at Princess.com.

Are all ships set up to use tokens? Going to be on the Grand and would love it if I didn't need to bring quarters!

Regardless why bring quarters?

There are change machines in the laundry room and quarters are also available at the passenger services desk.

Because I already have a whole bunch of them in a container they fit perfectly in; it stays in our trailer for when we go camping. So why not bring them with me? I also bring my own soap.

Still need to know if they are coin or token operated on the Grand.

Token, not quarters. The tokens are a different size than the quarters, and the tokens are for a bigger amount of worth than the quarters.

.

And I'd say it is just as easy to bring quarters as it is to go to customer service and get them.
