Rare Itchy&Scratchy Posted September 3, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 3, 2017 don't know about the big inflatable rings, but inflatable arm bands, vests and floaties (puddle jumpers) are allowed. My kid's been using them for years.

Bonnie J. Posted September 3, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 3, 2017 Carnival now has life vests, kid and adult size on their ships. They are yellow and I have seen kids wearing them in the pool. I have seen them on 3 Carnival ships so assume they have them on all ships now. They are hung by the pools. You just go take one, don't sign them out. I am sure an around the kid's waist ring is OK. cb at sea Posted September 3, 2017 #6 Share Posted September 3, 2017 An inflatable ring isn't a life-saving device...and there is little room for toys in the pools! The inflatable armbands are in evidence...and they do have floatation vests now.
SbbquilterUT Posted September 3, 2017 #7 Share Posted September 3, 2017 The ship will have life vests available for safety. Inflatable toys for playing are more challenging as the pool areas can be quite congested.
Rare Itchy&Scratchy Posted September 3, 2017 #8 Share Posted September 3, 2017 I honestly haven't seen life vests available for kids on the pool deck. We bring our own.
SbbquilterUT Posted September 4, 2017 #9 Share Posted September 4, 2017 We did see them on the Anthem and Explorer this year - may be part of the new safety initiative which includes lifeguards.
