Cancelling cruise

Since I cannot get through to Carnival by phone. Can I just cancel my cruise "online" and receive my future cruise credit? I was supposed to be on the Magic on Saturday.

Their website says you'll need to call - they are there 24/7 so just keep trying.

Carnival's website says... "Guests who decide to cancel because their cruise duration has changed, will receive a future cruise credit in the amount paid. Please call 1-800 CARNIVAL, your Personal Vacation Planner or your travel professional."

 

I've been on the phone on hold with Carnival today for 33 mins., 90 mins., and now 45 mins. and counting!

 

Just got through, 50mins. later!

Keep in mind that the main call center in Miami has evacuated. Calls are being handled elsewhere right now. Please be patient.

I'm confused is 1025cruise an employee of Carnival. If so why don't you just assist the OP in the cancel request.

I was supposed to me on the Magic this Saturday too. I have been on hold for 2 hrs and still counting. I'm leaving out of town tomorrow (Vacation plan b now) and need to have this cancelled before I leave. Hopefully I'll get someone soon.

They will refund your $$$ in 3 weeks.

I am not a Carnival employee. Nor do I work for any cruise line. It has been published that Carnival has evacuated their headquarters (as have other cruise lines). Given all the "headache" Irma is giving, plus the fact that calls are being routed to other call centers, along with call volume, a little bit of patience is needed.

I'm pretty sure you do not need to call and cancel, as the cruise has been cancelled. You can call your PVP or TA (if you used one) or simply call Carnival when the phone lines clear up.
