they have handicapped accessible taxis google " handicapped transport in Miami"

How are you getting to the hotel??

Thanks for a quick response. Our preference was to have a shuttle pre-arranged but HA taxis are an option that we have considered. We are using Super Shuttle from MIA to the hotel and from POM to MIA. However, they apparently don't service the hotels as I cannot get a quote to come up on their site.

On the Supershuttle site:

Under "select airport" select Port of Miami (sic) (scroll all the way to the bottom to find seaports rather than airports)

For "pickup location" manually enter the hotel address: 100 Chopin Plaza, Miami FL, 33131

Shared accessible van is $27; private non stop ride $60.

Executive car (which will have to be another van in your case) is $56 and $85 respectively (shared/unshared).

So if you feel the need to pre-reserve rather than just call for an accessible taxi for a ride of barely more than a mile, it will cost you.

Thanks for this... although, just about 30 minutes ago I tried the process exactly as you mentioned and got a notice that this was not offered.

When you check in, you can inform the desk of your special need and they'll call the right cab vehicle for the morning. As mentioned you are minutes from the port.

And this may be what we decide to do. Since we are two couples traveling together we may need to get two taxis. There is luggage for 4 for an 8 day cruise (including a bag with medical supplies) and his walker and scooter
