KyRoamer Posted September 18, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 18, 2017 We have dinner reservations at 7:30 on at sea days and wonder what time the main entertainment programs are? What is best times for dinner at specialty restaurants if you want to see shows?
Rare pinotlover Posted September 18, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 18, 2017 Shows start at 9:30 pm. Expect Dinners in the MDR and Specialties to last 1:45 to 2 hours. If you see your running close , get the waiter's attention early. One bit of warning. This is strictly personal and from my perspective and others will disagree. You are on an R ship, not an O ship with stadium seating in the Lounge. On R ships many cruisers get there early (9:00 or before) to get a good seat with a decent view of the entertainment. The band is typically on the one step elevated stage and the entertainers are at floor level with you. Even on the upper deck the front row of that deck can block the view of those behind them. Terrible views can occur at show level. Therefore, in my opinion, getting to the Lounge at or near showtime, on a R ship, can be a bad plan. So with a 7:30 seating, I'd let the waiter know you're wanting to make the show and try to get out NLT 9:10.
Rare LHT28 Posted September 18, 2017 #3 Share Posted September 18, 2017 The main show is usually 9:30 or 9:45 pm this applies for all the O ships If we want to see the show we get a 2 top no matter which dining venue we usually go at 6:30 or 7pm anyway so usually time for a stroll on deck before the show JMO

All shows started at 9:30 except last evening when they did a 6pm pre dinner show. We arrived at show just 5 to 10 minutes prior and sat on elevated stools in corner near entrance. A little far away but with the higher stools we could see pretty well and sound was fine throughout the lounge.. Just our personal preference.
