Need advice - Cancel for any reason

Have a cruise coming up and the final payment has been made. Purchased vacation protection insurance through Carnival ($190 for two). Penalty to cancel is 50% ($779) of the cruise price. Under the new "Cancel for any reason" clause will I be able to recoup any of the penalty in future cruise credits and if so how long does that process take?

I can't tell you how long the process takes; but you are supposed to get 75% of non-refundable cruise costs back as a future cruise credit. So approx $584.
