Working 2 Cruise Posted October 17, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 17, 2017 I've never seen it on Mexican cruises but then I don't eat dinner in the buffet...
joeyancho Posted October 18, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 18, 2017 Yes they do. I think German night is thursday. It's pretty good.
BritinSoCal Posted October 18, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 18, 2017 We tend to migrate to the Horizon Court for an evening meal and the Bavarian night buffet - if you like your sausages, pork and sauerkraut - are pretty good. Not as good as the curries, but there's no complaints here.

candipinki Posted October 23, 2017 #7 Share Posted October 23, 2017 Last week, the Oktoberfest was on Friday, the last sea day. They had dancing and games in the piazza. It was very crowded but looked fun. I have no idea about the food
satxdiver Posted October 23, 2017 #8 Share Posted October 23, 2017 We have been notified that our 11/4 cruise on the Ruby will have a Mexican Fiesta so I assume they will have the food to match. While this is somewhat expected on a Mexican Riviera cruise, this is a CA Coastal cruise. Considering where we live, it will be like home for us. Now if they have a German night in the HC we will have to reconsider that night where to dine. We have been to it before and loved it.
candipinki Posted October 23, 2017 #9 Share Posted October 23, 2017 I'm from SA too but the Mexican food there is different. For instance the chips are very thick where ours are light and almost flaky.

tjcletzgo Posted October 24, 2017 #12 Share Posted October 24, 2017 Yes, they still have it and it's one of my DH's favorite nights! I've never tried it but given all the places we want to eat (German night, Crown Grill, Crab Shack) I want to plan to be in the MDR on the night this is served  Thank you! Octoberfest is celebrated in October (hence the name) so I have a feeling that it will end before November cruises start. bumbletigger Posted October 29, 2017 #15 Share Posted October 29, 2017 German night was, by far, the best dinner in the HC. It is a must do!! Sent from my iPad using Forums
