luckyinpa Posted October 20, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 20, 2017 on the map there are basically 2 ways to get there (west then south...south then west). just wondering if anyone did the 'circle' around the peninsula and what you saw on the way. i'm leaving tomorrow but just realized i never saw a description of a tour like that here. maryann ns Posted October 20, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 20, 2017 Google maps suggests you go inland (west first) but I prefer going by Upper Tantallon. There are some shops there and you are by the water. The inland route may be a tiny bit faster so you go that way and return the other. https://goo.gl/maps/nTLUDGU42eL2 https://goo.gl/maps/nTLUDGU42eL2 Notice the routings out of Halifax to avoid some construction. These route are avoiding the Armdale Rotary and the beginning of the St. Margaret's Bay Road.
maryann ns Posted October 20, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 20, 2017 https://goo.gl/maps/n9rHRrKzbmE2 The restaurant at Peggy's Cove is decent. You could also check out Rhubarb which should be on the map above. I heard the other day of lobster being sold by the roadside on the Peggy's Cove Road from Peggy's Cove to Upper Tantallon.
