jaxcruiser66 Posted October 27, 2017 Author #76 Share Posted October 27, 2017 Your photography is fabulous, the solarium photos put me right back in my lounge next to the creek! 360s are exceptional and I'm sure I speak for anyone reading this review, they are much appreciated and useful! Thank you! THANK YOU!!! :) I have "lurked" on these forums for years soaking up advice that has helped me to make great decisions in my previous cruises... trying to pay it forward (or back)! jaxcruiser66 Posted October 27, 2017 Author #77 Share Posted October 27, 2017 Here are a few more Promenade pictures. A few are of the "Trolls" doing a meet and greet. There was a huge line to take photos with them. Here is a video of the Trolls getting their troll groove on! They got some moves! aWT9T5IbgpM

suesnake2002 Posted October 27, 2017 #79 Share Posted October 27, 2017 n Labadee we ended up at the "Barefoot Beach" area. I guess it's considered Ocean Side. It faced the zip lines. Facing the zip lines from all the maps i see is adrenalin beach Barefoot beach us a suites only beach located on the other side. And if i remember right u said you had an ocean view room. jaxcruiser66 Posted October 28, 2017 Author #80 Share Posted October 28, 2017 So, I was tempted to purchase this beautiful bottle of John Walker (not Johnnie). But I was $3790 short of the $3800 dollars required to purchase it! :) :) Have you ever purchased such an expensive bottle of booze?
jaxcruiser66 Posted October 28, 2017 Author #81 Share Posted October 28, 2017 After our day on the beach in Labadee, and after a nice shower (have I mentioned how much I love the showers on this ship?), and a great dinner in American Icon MDR, we spent a few more hours in Jazz On 4 listening to the Remedy Jazz Quarter. We saw them every night. They were so amazing! They really made our cruise. Here was my first after dinner drink while listening to some jazz.... Here is a video teaser... DNeRYk3JI3Y We then went up to Deck 8 and the Dazzles Night Club. We listened to the first set of the Oasis of the Seas Orchestra. Again... top notch talent! They play music from Chicago, Steely Dan, and Earth, Wind and Fire. IF you like that style of music, you will love them! Dazzles is a beautiful 2 story club that is pretty popular, so seating can be tough. For the second set... six singers from the show Cats came up to sing with the Orchestra! Crazy good!!! jaxcruiser66 Posted October 28, 2017 Author #84 Share Posted October 28, 2017 DAY 4 - FALMOUTH JAMAICA We we torn about this cruise stop. We had not been to Jamaica before this cruise. I had read many not so nice reviews of this port. I have seen stories about Royal Caribbean pulling out of Jamaica due to many complaints. Seeing how if was our first visit, we made the executive decision to at least try to see some of the island. We booked a tour through Royal Caribbean for the "Island Tour with Bamboo Beach Break". It turned out to be a 6 hours tour away from the ship. It was fun. Our tour guide was really informative and we learned a lot about Jamaica. We passed through several towns and got to see some of the "Real Jamaica" that I wanted to see. I took a bunch of pictures (not all great as they were through dirty window of a bus) I will share. The beach was nice. Water was great. Bamboo Beach is a nice little area. It's private, so very uncrowded. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Here are a few 360 Degree Pictures to start out today of the Falmouth port area. Some of these are "similar", but do have different perspective if you take the time to view them. I think they give you a great idea of what to expect when you visit next.... https://www.360cities.net/image/falmouth-jamaica-port-area https://www.360cities.net/image/falmouth-jamaica-port-area-1 https://www.360cities.net/image/falmouth-jamaica-port-area-2 The Disney Cruise Lines Fantasy was also in port with us... https://www.360cities.net/image/oasis-and-disney-fantasy

jaxcruiser66 Posted October 28, 2017 Author #86 Share Posted October 28, 2017 Here are some pictures from Jamaica while on our tour. Many are from the window of the bus we were on. The windows were a little dirty...sorry about that. The intent is to show some of "true" Jamaica life. This is a stop we made in St. Annes Parish. It St. Annes Church it is very beautiful. The grounds were great. I think its one of the older churches on the island. Don't hold me to that!

jaxcruiser66 Posted October 28, 2017 Author #89 Share Posted October 28, 2017 Here are a few more pictures from driving around the northern part of Jamaica... Of course no town would be complete without a Burger King and a Kentucky Fried Chicken!!! We did not get a chance to see if the patties here were truly "Juici" Need Shoes??? jaxcruiser66 Posted October 28, 2017 Author #90 Share Posted October 28, 2017 I love this guy...he was just chillin' and being happy! Main Street "& Garden Supplies" Traffic though St. Anne's was brutal... I wonder if Mamba Supermarket accepts competitor coupons? The fruit looked amazing! To bad we were on a bus. jaxcruiser66 Posted October 29, 2017 Author #93 Share Posted October 29, 2017 Here are a couple more Jamaica pictures.... I love this picture...it's one of my favorite pictures I took the whole trip. I couldn't find the Pot Restaurant on Yelp. I wonder if it's any good? :) This is the Garvey statue. He is a national hero in Jamiaca.
jaxcruiser66 Posted October 29, 2017 Author #94 Share Posted October 29, 2017 The tour bus took a drive through an area called "Fern Gully". It was really pretty. There were (can you guess) HUGE ferns growing all over. We then went up a huge hill filled with bus sized potholes to an area called "High Point". It had an amazing view of Ocho Rios below. We were able to see the Carnival Splendor in port there. There were also a few beautiful huge houses above here that you will see in the pictures. One we were told is owned by Mick Jagger. Here are a few 360 Degree Pictures of this stop... https://www.360cities.net/image/high-point-ocho-rios-jamaica-1 This picture is at High Point, and you will see me with a local "photographer" (they try to sell you pictures at this stop). He was friendly and was just really interested in my 360 camera. https://www.360cities.net/image/high-point-ocho-rios-jamaica Carnival Splendor Ocho Rios Thje top house (we were told) belongs to Mick Jagger... jaxcruiser66 Posted October 29, 2017 Author #95 Share Posted October 29, 2017 After High Point we went a little further East and stopped in a private beach area called "Bamboo Beach". Lunch was not included in the tour. My wife and I ordered a Lobster, jerk chicken, sausage, salad, with dessert beer and water for $22 bucks. It was really, really good! Sadly I did not get a picture of the food. Here is a 360 degree picture of the beach area... https://www.360cities.net/image/oasis-of-the-seas-falmouth-jamaica-bamboo-beach The beach here is nice. They do offer onsite massages. There are a few little gift huts. They kept our tour bus group in on area. A few other tour buses showed up and they kept everyone in their respective groups. But it was not crowded as a whole. We were there for about 2 hours. The water was nice.
jaxcruiser66 Posted October 29, 2017 Author #96 Share Posted October 29, 2017 The last stop before returning to Falmouth and the ship was a "shopping" stop at a really over priced place in Ocho Rios. It seemed that all the "tour" buses out this way make a stop here. There were shirts, coffee, knick knacks etc here. Guys out back were yelling to us to sell the DEVILS WEED... you know... {whispers} Marijuana! The funny thing in Jamaica is that the goats all run free! They aparantly know how to find their way home. We saw this across the street...
jaxcruiser66 Posted October 29, 2017 Author #97 Share Posted October 29, 2017 Carnival Splendor (I sailed on this ship previously... we had a good cruise)... We passed a Jamaica car accident...I am thinking its because they drive on the wrong side of the road... After an hour and a half drive the port at last... Here are a few 360 Degree Pictures of the Port Craft Markket area... We bought a nice wood trivet here... https://www.360cities.net/image/falmouth-jamaica-port-area-craft-market https://www.360cities.net/image/oasis-of-the-seas-falmouth-jamaica-craft-market https://www.360cities.net/image/oasis-of-the-seas-pier-in-falmouth-jamaica
jaxcruiser66 Posted October 29, 2017 Author #98 Share Posted October 29, 2017 When we got back to our cabin we were surprised to find this in our cabin... we had made friends with the Guest Services people! :) The Disney Fantasy leaving Falmouth... As soon as they left... they left a Disney Rainbow (I can't make this stuff up)! LOL!
jaxcruiser66 Posted October 29, 2017 Author #99 Share Posted October 29, 2017 That night after dinner we went to the Headliner Show. For this trip they had Abba-Cadabra. Yep...and Abba tribute band. I am not a huge Abba fan. But, I know the music. How can you not if you lived through the 70's and 80's. They were pretty good. I enjoyed the show. uUphEThG_R0 This is the Cruise Director Jeff Arpin... I wasn't sure about him at first. But he really grew on me through-out the week. I watched his show on the TV everyday. He had really good advice about most things that were happening the following day. This waited for us at bed time! This ends Day 4. Tomorrow (Day 5) is a sea day...then Cozumel Mexico. berbician Posted October 29, 2017 #100 Share Posted October 29, 2017 We purchased prior to the cruise via the Cruise Planner the "First Night Done Right" deal. This deal basically is $15 per person to eat in a specialty restaurant these choose for you. When we arrived on board they had selected Giovanni's for us. We wanted to eat at 150 Central Park. We went to the hostess in 150 Central park, and she gladly changed our reservation. It was another few dollars for the more expensive restaurant. Dinner was AMAZING!!! Best meal my wife and I had eaten in many years! Do get the cucumber martini! It is made table side... and delicious! Of course there is the salt sampler that goes with the bread. We also had the 18oz Filet Mignon which is carved table side. There is way too much food! I cannot see how anyone can get the Ultimate Dining Package and eat like this every night of the cruise. It's just too much. Have any of you purchased the Ultimate Dining Package in the past? How did you do it? Here are a couple of pictures from our dinner... enjoing every moment of your review even though I will be on Allure in two weeks I am sure this works the same way. I just booked the first night done right pacakge and wanted to know how extra did you have to pay for 150 Central Park? Thank You
