jaxcruiser66 Posted October 24, 2017 Author #26 Share Posted October 24, 2017 Thanks for the answer, is the master switch labelled and its the very top switch next to the bathroom correct? Loving your review and the photos!! Glad you like the pictures! :) The switch is clearly labeled. It is the top most switch as you walk in the door. jaxcruiser66 Posted October 24, 2017 Author #27 Share Posted October 24, 2017 Can't wait to see more. The bread in the second pic of the 150 Central Park set looks spectacular. They all look good, but I'm a bread guy. If they can get the bread right, then usually the rest is great. Loving the 360s Definitely following dp TRY NOT TO FILL UP ON THE BREAD!!! It is too easy to do!

jaxcruiser66 Posted October 24, 2017 Author #31 Share Posted October 24, 2017 After our amazing dinner in 150 Central Park, we decided to walk around and explore the ship more, as well as work off dinner. As you are all aware, there is a LOT to explore. It does take a while to fully wrap your head around the fact that you are on a cruise ship! As an FYI... 150 Central Park was very uncrowded the first evening we were in there. Here are a few more "stand alone" pictures. I will post more 360 pictures shortly. I am trying to keep the chronology of the trip and the photos in order. Trying to maintain the Flow! :) This is the Promenade taken from above on Deck 6... On-Air Bar Karaoke Bar. I loved reading all the ships stats that scroll on by... This is the underside of the Rising Tide Bar. The interesting thing here is the water fountains. The solid stream in the middle is shooting straight UP hitting the underside of the bar. The ring of water around that, is hooting DOWN! Deck 6 Aft entrance to the Boardwalk area of the ship... The carousel horses in varous stages of contruction...
jaxcruiser66 Posted October 24, 2017 Author #32 Share Posted October 24, 2017 Remember the Tom Hanks "Big"? I found the Zoltare machine. I made a wish to become younger. It didn't work!!! Completed and decorated carousel horse... Notice the hang glider? Looking forward towards to carousel and Dazzles night club on Deck 8 above the carousel. One of two rock climbing walls... Aqua Theater... This pretty much completes Day 1 of the cruise. Day Two was a "Sea Day", but a medical emergency forced an unexpected stop into Nassau, Bahamas. More soon... jaxcruiser66 Posted October 25, 2017 Author #33 Share Posted October 25, 2017 DAY 2 - SEA DAY Day 2 (Monday) was supposed to be a Sea Day. We started the day with a room service breakfast. First a little about the cabin... As I mentioned way earlier, we were on Deck 10 Starboard side in the most forward cabin you can get. Cabin 10526. It is an ocean view with a large port hole window. Its pretty much under the bridge wing. Here is a 360 Degree Picture from inside the cabin. Again, I annotated this image, and they only show up from a desktop browser... https://www.360cities.net/image/oasis-of-the-seas-oceanview-room-10526 Here are a few things I really loved about this Royal Caribbean cabin compared to the Carnival Ships we have been on... The SHOWER!!! The sliding shower doors are AMAZING! Much better than Carnivals adhesive shower curtain. We like where the closet is located. It makes more sense where it is in this cabin. I liked the bed closer to the door, with the couch nearer the window in front of the TV. The doors opened "out". It was easier to maneuver this way. The cabin stayed nice and cool...almost cold. We liked that the fridge was not stocked. Dislikes: Carnival has way better pillows! We actually purchased a pair after our last Carnival cruise.About 9am or so, the Captain (Captain Per) came over the loud speaker to say we had to make an unexpected emergency port call to Nassau Bahamas to off load a severely ill individual. We were told later (cannot confirm the validity) that the passenger was on life support, can could not be transported via helicopter. As a result of this stop we would be arriving late in Labadee (Day 3) two hours later than expected. The Allure of the Seas was also in port in Nassau, so it was quite the spectacle to see this two HUGE monster ships side by side to each other!!! Here are a few pictures from this stop... jaxcruiser66 Posted October 25, 2017 Author #34 Share Posted October 25, 2017 The following are some deck pictures while we were docking in Nassau. We were up on Deck 16 over looking the main pools on Deck 15... You can see from these pictures that deck chairs were never really a problem. This was the norm throughout the cruise... jaxcruiser66 Posted October 25, 2017 Author #35 Share Posted October 25, 2017 Here is one more 360 Degree Picture of the Boardwalk Area taken at night of Day 1. It had rained some, and the deck was very wet an slippery. https://www.360cities.net/image/oasis-of-the-seas-boardwalk A have a few more 360 Degree Photos coming soon pulling into Labadee (from Deck 14), and the beach in Labadee. Cruisegirl6 Posted October 25, 2017 #38 Share Posted October 25, 2017 I am surprised you like Carnivals pillows over RC....I find Carnivals pillows to be too small maybe standard but RC has larger pillows which I like and I never had a bad pillow actually in any of both cruise lines, you should of asked for a couple extra pillows, tell them you wanted more fluffier ones, they would of given them to you. LuCruise Posted October 25, 2017 #39 Share Posted October 25, 2017 Love your review. Those 360 pictures are really neat! I even showed my 8 year old daughter and she was holding my phone turning in circles, amazed. :-) Most people don't like the bed by the door but I agree with you. By having the sofa further, it opened up the door/window area. (I'm referring to 'window' as we had a Promenade room on Allure...so it gave more space to that area during the day when the sofa was a sofa and not pulled out as a bed). cruisedude29 Posted October 25, 2017 #41 Share Posted October 25, 2017 Great review and pictures. What camera are you using for the 360 photos and do you have to pay for the hosting site to post those. What camera are you using for your stand alone photo, they are so crystal clear. Also just wanted to let you know all the 360 photos are showing up fine on my IPAD, thanks again.

jaxcruiser66 Posted October 25, 2017 Author #46 Share Posted October 25, 2017 At 10:30am on Day 2 my wife and I took part in the Sushi Making class in Izumi. The class is $30 per person. It was a ton of fun! Neither one of us have ever made sushi before. We sat at a long table with others, and they had the head sushi chef at the end giving direction. There were several assistants walking around offering help as needed. You make 3 different rolls - a California roll, a fried shrimp roll, and a spicy tuna roll. You also make a few pieces of nigiri (shrimp sushi). After you make all your sushi, they take each plate and the sushi chefs will slice it up and make it look pretty. They bring back your rolls... and you get to eat them all! It is a LOT of food!!! Nobody at the table was able to finish their dishes. The sad part is that they WILL NOT let you take out the left overs. Not sure why.

jaxcruiser66 Posted October 25, 2017 Author #49 Share Posted October 25, 2017 Here is a 360 Video I shot on the Promenade the first day. jaxcruiser66 Posted October 25, 2017 Author #50 Share Posted October 25, 2017 Here are a few pictures of the Rising Tide bar. We did not actually "ride" on this. But it is a very cool concept. Again, one of those things that are actually on a cruise ship! Here is a short video of the Oasis Of The Seas Orchestra perfoming in the Promenade. We saw these guys perform several times....here on the Pormenade, in Dazzles, and in the Jazz club. THEY ARE AMAZING!!! BbgUE_Q_s6U
