Gift Card Question

If I purchase $500 worth of gift cards from Verizon to apply to my sign and sail card and do not use all of the $500 while on board, can I go to the casino and cash it out? As you all know the Verizon gift cards are purchased at a discount so I am wondering if I would only be able to get the amount I paid for the gift card or if it would be the total value of the gift card? Not looking to scam anyone just trying to understand what happens if I dont spend it all on board. Thanks!

Go to the casino make a password download what you want to a machine, spin once then pull your card out. Walk to the cashier and cash out. Done deal :)

They don't care if it's a discounted card SOMEONE paid full price for it and is giving at a discount as a reward

Our cruise next week I got $5000 in $500 cards from one of our credit cards for $450 each. So we are starting out with $500 and $100 for my stockholders credit ahead for the week. Free money is wonderful

If you add the 500.00 gift card to your S&S account while on ship it will be added as OBC. If there are any funds left over from your OBC, it will be refunded to you by check (only if its over 10.00). You can move it the last sea day from your OBC to your casino account and then cash out at the casino as well.

If you use the 500.00 gift card and purchase cruise cash before your departure date through the FUN SHOPS and are not going to spend the entire amount, you can still cash out using the casino method.

Your S&S account will first deduct from cruise cash, then OBC, then your method of payment on file.

Contrary to some belief, you never have to actually spin the slots. I have added gift cards via the ship kiosk or guest services and immediately walked into the casino. Loaded it onto the machine and pushed cash out. Never once did I spin. I usually buy about $1500-2000 in gift cards to use on board. I take very little cash with me and use this as money for excursions purchased on land and our spending money while off the ship. That way everything we buy all vacation long is 10% off essentially.

If you gamble or do it more than once you absolutely have to spin once. If you do not your card is shut off for future gambling and you cannot get cash again unless the casino manager approves it after you explain to him why you did what you did. I know this for a fact because it happened to me personally.Thats the way they combat people avoiding ATM fees

If you use gift cards to add to your sail and sign account, and don't spend it all , or if you don't use the casino method to get money from your gift cards you will NOT get cash back . If you have funds left in your OBC , they will not give you cash or check if its over 10 dollars . They will put it back on the gift card . I just got of the Dream last week and that's what happened to , on one account we had 3 dollars one account had 15 dollars , they give you print out and on that print out it shows what gift has the balance on it . So keep your gift cards until after cruise .

You can cash it out at either the casino window (no need to go to a machine first) or at GS...
You're wrong... if it's not in your players bank you cannot cash it out because their is nothing to cash out. As far as getting money from guest services I've never seen that either

I was on Fascination two weeks ago. I moved $200 to my player bank using a slot machine, then went to the cage to cash it out to use on the tables.

Later that day I did the same for $100. I was pulled aside while they waited for someone to remove the hold on my S&S card. They asked if I'd transferred and cashed out and I told them yes. They said I couldn't do that and that I had to play some of that money or else my S&S would be put on hold again.

Yeah that's what they do, we just spin a buck now and never had an issue since. Do they still charge at the tables to use your sign and sail? What's it like 2 or 3 percent? It would pay to spin a buck in that case it'll save a ton of money in fees

It's 3% at the tables, which is nothing more than a crime of opportunity.

You don't have to load them to your account at the beginning of your cruise. Just use your S&S card like normal then at the end of your cruise, go to GS and pay your balance in gift cards. Then you'll have any gift cards with balances left on them. I've never loaded my account at the beginning of the cruise.

Does it work the same with cruise cash? Was planning to purchase, but wanted to be sure I could cash out at the casino if need be.

Yes, the general cruise cash will be available for casino play. Bar cruise cash will only be used against purchases from the beverage department and Photo cruise cash is only good towards purchases made in the Pixels gallery.
