My daughter and her brother and sister (from another mother) is booked to go on a cruise with us on Nov.11 on the Glory. The whole family was going there was 5 of them and rooms don't accommodate 5 people so we put two of them in our cabin. now Grandmother is fighting cancer and Hospice has been called in.( so not good time for their family to take a vacation) anyways me and my daughter are still going on cruise Nov 11 but carnival let other family member change their sail date which is great for them but now we are in the dilemma 2 of the family members our in our room and we cant change their sail date because we are still traveling. My question is I got the insurance paper to fill out for them but it doesn't really pertain to them because technically grandmother has not passed at present time. so am I wasting my time filling out and rounding up all this paperwork if they are not going to accept claim? However, your post is just too vague and with generalities for me to understand. I have a general understanding, but general doesn't work in the insurance claim industry. Be very very specific. Name insurance plan and be specific as to which plan. (Example. If you bought from the cruise line, which cruise line. If you bought from Travel Guard, which plan at Travel Guard) Be exact (without names) as to who these people are. (Example Cabin 1 is Mom, Dad, and Child 1. Cabin 2 is Child 2 and Child 3) Grandma is (Moms mom,, or dads mom) etc Hope you get the idea. We don't want to be nosey, but can't help without understanding the exact situation. 6rugrats Posted October 31, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 31, 2017 Really confusing post. People going on this cruise are you, your three children, (you don't say who the fifth person is). The grandmother of two of your children is in Hospice, so these two children aren't sailing. The unnamed fifth person was able to change their sailing date, and you and your daughter are still going. So, it's your two children with the sick grandmother that you want to file a claim for. I have no idea what your policy says regarding cancellation because family members are ill.
