Anyone use MJS Transportation

to travel between Fort Lauderdale hotel and port of Miami?

 

We are from the UK, they ask for a Cell number, do they ring before arrival, are they going to ring our international number?

 

the web sites , also SAS say a cell is a must, cannot find an email address for SAS so may try MJS

 

Do they give a time to be in reception? how prompt are they?

 

Are we meant to tip the driver on top of the $15 charge per person?

Have not used them, but they are often suggested.

 

Most of the shuttle drivers will call to figure out where you are in the check-out/customs/immigration process.

 

 

$15 per person is the common rate for shared shuttles and you should tip the driver a couple of bucks each for good, prompt, courteous service -- maybe more if he does all of that in a rain storm.

 

 

If any of this helps then you owe me a pint -- I prefer the bitter. :)

The cell phone is used to communicate for the pick-up. Best to check beforehand regarding your UK cell phone ..... OK to use in the US, both receiving and making calls.

We have used MJS previously on several trips from FLL to POM and they have been wonderful. Great communication (both from office and with driver) ... ontime ... very nice, clean vehicles ... friendly, helpful drivers ... couldn't have asked for better experiences. We actually have reservations with them for upcoming December cruise and will use them whenever we're flying into FLL and cruising out of POM (they also service Port Canaveral).
