Casino card

The perks for all levels can be found here: https://www.ncl.com/ca/en/why-cruise-norwegian/casino-cruise/players-club

Free drinks are available when you hit 5,000 tier credits ($25,000 through the slots, $50,000 through video poker) but if you book your room through CAS you will be given a drink card even if you're at the bottom tier. The other big perk is having a dedicated check-in line at most ports.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but this does not appear to be the case anymore. Beverage privileges start at the second (Pearl) level and they won't upgrade you levels just because you booked through CAS. We have the UDP, but it would be nice to use the drink card for espresso and bottled water. I guess we'll find out when we sail next month.

We booked through CAS and received a drink card when we sailed on the Gem a couple of weeks ago. We are at the lowest level players card.

The question is: Were you able to get free drinks and bottled water using it?

If you walk into the casino and ask to sign up for a card you will just get the card. After a certain amount of points than you have earned the free drink card. If you book through CAS based on your player status from a land casino (or a free cruise comp from a land casino) you will automatically have a player card and free drink card waiting for you in your room when you board.

The basic free drink card is only well/house drinks (not at the good stuff) plus you get free bottled water, iced coffees and also energy drinks/cans with the card. After you move up a few levels you get a premium drink card and can get top shelf drinks as well as all the other ones.

If you're talking about the Casino card you get from casino host/hostess there are no perks. The advantage of having it is that it tracks your play and you can get a deduction off your final onboard account bill based on your play. We are very small time gamblers so only get about $35 reduction.

If you accumulate 1900 points (1 point for every $5 through the machine, theirs or yours) during a cruise you can get fee drinks the rest of the cruise.
