Shore Excursion Credit

I just called the shore excursion desk and was told that I need to book through them, then pay on-board. Okay, but I am not seeing in my list of amenities my shore excursion credit to take with me. What in the world is wrong here? Anyone else in the same situation? Remedy?

Check with your travel agent. Ask for an amenity confirmation page. It can be e-mailed to you. Mine lists the shore excursion credit, in addition to others provided on my reservation.

 

Not a bad idea to have documentation in case something you expect is not provided once you board the ship.

wehn you call them they pull it up based on your reservation number. they will know if its there becuase if it isnt they will make you pay in full at the time of booking. you can also request from your PCC an Amenity Invoice that will list it.

Okay I found the amenity list and it's there. I wonder if I book on line if they will give me OBC for the difference. I want a small bill at the end. I always hate the final night and the total you owe.

If you book online you will not get the $50 Shore Excursion credit at all. According to the Terms & Conditions you have to either phone Shorex and book with them, or book onboard.

Mine doesn't show up online, however my ncl representative has send me confirmation that is it part of my package. I think it was like an invoice.

 

As for booking, I did one via ncl.com and when I asked him about how to get the credit, I was told just goto the excursion desk and explain the situation and they will credit your original payment method for the $50/port.

 

What I was bummed about was that if you don't use the credit at the port then you don't get the credit. Its a use it or loose it..

The perk is an OBC towards Shore Excursions. You must be charged onboard then a credit is issued. To prepay book the excursions, get a price for them then buy OBC to cover the costs. You can manage to a smaller balance at the end of the cruise.
