specialagentheather Posted November 19, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 19, 2017 I have my eye on a particular cruise. The price has been increasing. I don't really want to pay any more than what it is currently listed at. Should I go ahead and book now or wait until Friday and see if there is a better deal/better incentives? Are black Friday deals usually good?
firemanbobswife Posted November 19, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 19, 2017 If it's not past final payment date, book now and then check for price drops. There is no reason to wait as long as final payment isn't due. It's been the trend that as the cruise date gets nearer, the prices increase. As a whole the better deals are to be had early on. Brad1972 Posted November 19, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 19, 2017 From what i've seen Carnival usually only does reduced deposits for black friday. I havent heard or seen price drops for black friday sales. only reduced deposits.

audcc77 Posted November 19, 2017 #6 Share Posted November 19, 2017 I bought an interior cabin on Cyber Monday or Black Friday (which one, I can't remember). This was for a sail date in December 2017. I have not seen the price move hardly at all. It is out of Charleston, so maybe that is why. As others have said, my experience is that they give reduced deposits but not less expensive pricing. The way I always figure it, if it is $60-70 or so per day, that's good. If it's $50 or less per day, that's great. My Charleston one is $68/pp per day. My Jax one is $47/pp per day. It all depends on the ship, port, etc.
riffatsea Posted November 19, 2017 #7 Share Posted November 19, 2017 Unless you are booking a cruise that is within final payment so that you need to pay the whole thing now, you can book any time and still get price drops if the price goes lower. I would not expect much from Cyber Monday.
specialagentheather Posted November 19, 2017 Author #8 Share Posted November 19, 2017 If the price drops after final payment has been made, can I get OBC in exchange for the price drop, or no?
riffatsea Posted November 19, 2017 #9 Share Posted November 19, 2017 You can only get OBC for price drops after final payment if you book the Early Saver rate.
bobjer17 Posted November 19, 2017 #10 Share Posted November 19, 2017 As others have said Black Friday sales are usually reduced deposits. Book what you’re comfortable paying. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
