Rondo Posted November 19, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 19, 2017 We’ll be on the Summit next Sunday. Where is the best place to watch some of the NFL football games? This is our first Celebrity cruise, so we’re not familiar with any of the ships venues.
MEcruzr Posted November 20, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 20, 2017 If any of them are broadcast, probably in your cabin. I don't remember seeing a tv in any of the bars.
Cruisingwithoutthekids Posted November 20, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 20, 2017 There are a few TV s in the casino that had the games on. Particularly the Monday and Thursday games Sent from my iPad using Forums

We liked it when they used to show the games in Michaels Club, but now the club is suites only (and Zenith level). Rondo Posted November 20, 2017 Author #6 Share Posted November 20, 2017 Thanks for the responses! Guess we’ll be in the room or the casino. DH is in a football pool. 2 people left in the pool, so he could either win, loose or go on for another game the next week. He would have won today if the Saints wouldn’t have won in the last minutes of the game. 😩

ronews Posted November 20, 2017 #8 Share Posted November 20, 2017 The only problem with casino bar is you only get the game the ship is showing that day. May not be the one you want to watch. Last cruise on a Sunday a bunch of New England Patriot (boo!) fans were in casino to watch their team. It wasn't on so they all headed up to the computer lounge to stream the game. Not my idea of a good time. More fun with all the fans in the casino
Rondo Posted November 20, 2017 Author #9 Share Posted November 20, 2017 We'll hope our games are shown that day. If not, we'll use our free internet that day (I'm sure it will be slow) or watch whatever game is on in the casino and watch for updated scores on the games not shown. We'll survive....we'd pick the cruise over staying home just to watch a football game on tv. ;)
Zeldamarie Posted November 20, 2017 #10 Share Posted November 20, 2017 At the risk of being booed, I hope to catch the NE Patriots game on Monday, Dec. 11 on the Equinox. However, the ship will be in port at San Juan. Doesn’t the casino close when the ship is in port? Or will they be open to show the game anyway? cssreggie Posted November 20, 2017 #11 Share Posted November 20, 2017 Just back from the November 11th sailing of the Summit ...football games are shown at casino bar and on 12th floor big screen terrace (also Sunday night and Monday night football games)...also CBS and Fox feeds of a couple of games were available on your cabin tv but for some reason had no commentary (although stadium noise was audible). CruisingChick Posted November 20, 2017 #12 Share Posted November 20, 2017 If you are in port the casino will be closed as will the casino bar. Not sure if they will have the games on the TVs there if the area is closed. I guess they would still show them up on deck 12 or in your stateroom. Rondo Posted November 22, 2017 Author #15 Share Posted November 22, 2017 Rooftop terrace sounds good! Sunday is a sea day, so the casino looks good, too. If all else fails we can hide out in our cabin. 😕 Thanks, all, for the info!
kayehall Posted November 22, 2017 #16 Share Posted November 22, 2017 I was wondering about the new rooftop terrace? That has a big TV. When we were on the Summit, we watched in the casino bar;p
