Belle Posted November 23, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted November 23, 2017 Good Evening Diana, Jo and Rose. Diana and Rose you did good. Jo hope you at least have a stay the same. Mike you must be having a good time..no posting! I'm down 1/2 a lb. Harder for me at home then on a cruise! Least a little loss better than a gain. I want no gains this Holiday Season! I'm missing all the people that use to come in and aren't anymore. Hope it's because their busy and not because their sick or gained weight. Have to come in if gained weight. Even if not doing well coming in here could help not to gain as much as if you didn't come in. Also could help you maintain and not gain till your ready to get on track and lose. Remember we all know how hard this is for everyone. We've all been there, are there now and could be there later. Please Come Back! Come on and give hints on how to get through the Holidays. Happy Thanksgiving and to those who do shopping on Friday..Be Careful! I stay home, not worth it, the people and traffic.
mdaviswv Posted November 23, 2017 #6 Share Posted November 23, 2017 Good morning from Jamaica [emoji1135]! I hit the wall Tuesday night. Must have made some progress over the last 6 months, because I’ve learned I’m not the binge eater I once was. After two and a half days of eating everything in sight, I felt miserable. Lightened up considerably yesterday and will do my best to continue with that. I’m sure I’ll still eat too much though! [emoji3] Weigh in next Thursday isn’t going to be pleasant either way. Not posting many updates other than occasional pics on Instagram. Writing time has been hard to come by because I’ve been crashing pretty early. No worries, plenty of time to catch up on that when I get home. Have a great weekend and holiday guys! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
retiring soon Posted November 23, 2017 #7 Share Posted November 23, 2017 Hi all! Mike ~ lucky you in Jamaica, send some heat this way please! We've already had snow a couple of times this week. I've joined the rest of you losers;) & lost 1 pound. That's pretty good considering I've had a couple of lunches out, a movie & you know what that means, plus some chips & chocolate. Imagine what I could lose if I gave up all my desires?! Anyhow it is what it is! Have a lovely Thanksgiving & enjoy your meal & company. ~ Jo ~ :)
Belle Posted November 23, 2017 Author #8 Share Posted November 23, 2017 Mike good to hear from you. Glad your having a good time. Jo Congrats on your loss. Yes if could stay away from "sweets" ect we would lose more!:D Hope everyone has a great day!
winewanderer Posted November 24, 2017 #9 Share Posted November 24, 2017 Jo and Rose, great losses. Mike, glad you're having fun. Hitting the wall.......yeah, eating a bit much can do that. Hope everyone had a nice holiday. Quiet for hubby and I. Since we moved we are a bit far from family, traffic is horrendously bad, etc. We bought a small half ham. Ham very good. Trying to be careful as I hope to have a loss next week. Diana
shootr Posted November 26, 2017 #10 Share Posted November 26, 2017 I'm still lurking, but up more than I've been in 2 years, 211 this morning. Every time I think I'm off to a good start, any number of weak-a$$ excuses pop up and I cave. Just got tired of deprivation and not enjoying life day to day - seems like I'm always hungry, always craving, always wondering what the heck is the point of living like this? I guess it's the tightness in my waistband and hard looks in the mirror that is pulling me back from the edge, lol. So, (more) chicken in the crockpot, (more) apples and (more) lettuce in the fridge, (more) almonds with a the 1/4 cup measuring spoon right next to it, etc. All the Guinness is drunk, all the snacks are gone, the wife has gone full on Keto (and doing well), and there's nary a bad calorie left in the pantry. The dog get's me walking and playing, digging out 2 tree stumps, planting more stuff in their place, decorating for the holiday's, etc. has gotten me some necessary exercise - just have to keep it up. Hope this wasn't too depressing to read, just needed to vent and get moving forward.
retiring soon Posted November 26, 2017 #11 Share Posted November 26, 2017 Hi all! shootr ~ nice to see you back & lovely pictures as usual. Don't beat yourself up about your weight gain, you're down from a much higher number!! It does seem too much of an effort sometimes to eat properly. I know I've been bad this past week not resisting some cheese snacks, then eating the bag in 2 days. Wonder what that'll translate to on Thursday!:o Oh well, as I recently read from a lady who lost 100 lbs, if you pig out this weekend you just start over again on Monday!! Have a great week. ~ Jo ~ :)
mdaviswv Posted November 26, 2017 #12 Share Posted November 26, 2017 Hey everyone. Good to hear from you shootr. I can understand that, the last few weeks before my cruise I went off the wagon a bit too. It was a long several months and I’d had about enough. You’ll get it back I’m sure! As for me, I’m pretty well doomed I’m afraid. I slowed down greatly midweek, but still ate A LOT more than I have been used to. I’ll weigh in tomorrow or Tuesday as I’m curious what I’ll find out. Not sure when we’ll get home. If my wife and I can stay awake we’ll probably still try for tonight. Problem is that we’re still somewhere in South Carolina. [emoji53] Oh well, will be my next turn to drive soon. Check in with you guys as soon as I learn my official gain. Belle Posted November 27, 2017 Author #13 Share Posted November 27, 2017 Good Morning! How did the Holiday Weekend go for everyone? I did good Thursday but this weekend I have been emotional eating. My anniversary was Friday. So my memories took over and so did the "Food Picking".On Special days I really miss him. Now it is Monday and I will get back on track! shootr good to see you. Please don't stop coming in even if gaining. I believe if gaining and you still come in you don't gain as much because your aware, it's in your mind and don't eat as much of the things you shouldn't. You still might eat them but not as much. Then the mind says..enough..back on track! Seems like your getting lots of exercise. Mike hope you had a great time enjoying your cruise and the food on it. You'll be home and can get back on track, remember might take a few days as your use to eating more but you'll do it. Cruising is so much fun but getting to the port and then home, driving or flying is the worst! Hope you got home safe and sound. Jo you had a little trouble this weekend to? Hope we're both on track now. Our weigh doesn't have to count till Thursday. Thank goodness! Diana did you have a good weekend eating wise? We all have till Wed. to do our best, eat less, drink our water and try to get some exercise.
1lizette1 Posted November 27, 2017 #14 Share Posted November 27, 2017 Shootr, you and I are very much alike. Don't beat yourself up. I too fall off the wagon I just keep telling myself I'll try again tomorrow (but I hear you about wondering why we deprive ourselves etc. My brain tries to use those lines on me too ;-) ) Sent from my SM-N920W8 using Forums mobile app
1lizette1 Posted November 27, 2017 #15 Share Posted November 27, 2017 Oh and I'm a tad late with my weigh in. I'm the same this week, no ups no downs. I'll keep trying Sent from my SM-N920W8 using Forums mobile app
mdaviswv Posted November 27, 2017 #16 Share Posted November 27, 2017 Good morning guys. Looks like I’m up close to 6. That’s reasonable enough. Lots to do this morning, just wanted pass that along. Have a great day! Great to see all the activity on here! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
winewanderer Posted November 27, 2017 #17 Share Posted November 27, 2017 Mike, Glad you enjoyed your cruise. 6 lbs. is not so horrible. I'm sure you'll get it off soon. Belle, I'm afraid I didn't do so well with eating. Hubby took me out last night for Chinese buffet and took me out to lunch a couple of times ove the weekend. Nice of him, but................ I know I'm afraid to get on the scale Thursday........ Shootr, I totally understand where you're at. Just keep plugging away. We don't have to be perfect, just a little healthier. Like your holiday decorations! Have a good Monday. Diana
Belle Posted November 27, 2017 Author #18 Share Posted November 27, 2017 Lizette glad you stayed the same and came in even if late.. Know we always have to keep trying. That's why we're all here. Mike think water weight. That it will come off fast if your eating less. I bet you'll have some of it off Thursday. Diana sounds like we all ate more than we would/should of eaten. That's life I'm afraid. Can't be perfect all the time, like never! Hope we all have a loss of some kind on Thursday or at least a stay the same. Take care..Eat Less..Drink Water..Exercise of some kind.
