Koningsdam "Upgrade"

We have been offered a free upgrade on Koningsdam from Balcony VD on Deck 6 to Balcony Spa VQ on Deck 10. What are peoples thoughts on the VQ cabins and is this an offer we should take please?

I'd stay put with the VD. I don't like the location of the VQs~ way too high up & forward.

That's just me, though.:)

We like being high, but would stick with the VD because the VQ balconies are much smaller - about 4' deep compared to 6' for the VD. Also the deck 10 VQ nearest the pool (10051/52/54/55) reportedly can sometimes be noisy from the movie speakers close by.

I loved the VQ location. I wish they had offered us that upgrade again. Although I don't know if I would have liked one close to the ourside doors---view down would be of the bridge and there could be noise from the movie. We were in one by the elevators and loved it.

This was my VD balcony. Not a huge difference from that VQ picture, but enough to actually be able to use the footrest.

We are just home from Koningsdam. We were "upgraded" to 10054. We lasted 4 nights out of 11. The noise from the TV was unbearable. Our son has "buzzed " our house in an F18......and it didn't shake as much as our bed was shaking with the movie on the ship.

They moved us to Vista Suite on Gershwin.
