Royal caribbean newbie questions

5 Times Disney Cruiser but 4/8/18 will be my first Royal Caribbean Oasis Cruise. My first questions is regarding the Maho Beach Experience in St Martin. Can you come back earlier than the 3.5 hours it says on excursion or are you better off taking a cab?

Not sure if they will allow you to leave the excursion, but if the excursion is just a trip to Maho and back, you can do it for $4pp round trip using a bus from the courthouse area. Taxi would be around $16pp, but would be right from the port area..
