Fttf

Not sure of all the rules, but my upcoming cruise had them sold out, then one day it was available and I grabbed it. I think it depends on the number of passengers with "elite status" on the ship. Makes sense to reward those most loyal first.

Do they every release more FTTF on cruises if they are sold out right now ?

I have read that the ships typically start with about 30 FTTF's to sell. More may be added, depending on how many Diamond and Platinum cruisers will be booked on a specific cruise. Keep checking (almost daily) to see if more have been made available. Also, if you've joined a roll call for your cruise, check that daily too. It's not uncommon for one or more members to post when FTTF's have become available. Keep in mind that the number available will probably be low, maybe 10 or less, and will sell out very quickly. So, like when a cat sees a mouse, be ready to pounce.;)

I've heard that many people grab FTTF after they are sold out either very late at night or early in the morning. I booked my cruise in April and it was sold out and I was OCD about it by checking a few times a day. Finally a few weeks ago at 6am, FTTF opened up and I grabbed one for my cruise next year. GOOD LUCK!!

They dribble out a few more over time. Last cruise I got it 19 days before sailing. Its really random when it comes out, on our January 14th Breeze cruise its come out twice on Fridays after midnight and once on a Wednesday smack in the middle of the morning. No logic and only a few are available. So far I've been unlucky. But I'm hunting.

Potential "best" times to snag FttF are:

  1. As soon as the embarkation port excursions are listed
  2. Around final payment date, if people forget of miss the payment the booking is cancelled along with any excursions purchased.
  3. 2-6 weeks prior to the cruise as the up-sale fairy calls around with deals on suites, since many of the perks are duplicated those that switched up will cancel FttF and it will suddenly appear in inventory.

Cruises without a good potential for FttF to become available later:

  1. Casino Premier and Ultra cruises, as the Casino VIPs get many of the FttF perks even when booking their highly discounted interior room.
  2. Any Journeys cruise, as of earlier this year these because of the popularity with diamond and platinums booking (even last minute), where excluded from any sale of FttF (even if the option was available when the cruise was first listed).
  3. Travel Agent training cruises.
