We are sitting on the beach in Grand Turk the beach chairs and green umbrellas are free there’s a bargaining charge for the various other cabanas and clamshells I heard 35 then 15$ I think they ended up paying $20 all good natured bargaining and it’s expect and kinda fun to take part in I try to remember this is their main way to earn and always try to spend some money here and tip well. We have been approached by quite a few excursion vendors probably won’t do any but they are all much cheaper than on the ship and remember to bargain probably will do lunch at Margaritaville more beach then back on board I’ll pick up the review then . Did I mention how clear the water is here it’s amazing this is one great beach to spend a day on .

Back on board at 2 went up to the serenity deck got a clamshell layed in the sun for about an hour and a half. Lots of kids out and in the pools and hot tub this is the first time I noticed them they were pretty well behaved but out numbered the adults in the pool. We went up to our deck 8 balcony cabin to clean up for our your time dinner. We went to dinner at at around 6 pm it was much slower tonight took over an hour for two. We left dinner and are currently waiting for the show “Latin Nights” pretty curious about this show people up front are wearing ponchos I’m guess water is involved Oh well more will be revealed after the show . If you have any questions please ask.

The bbq is only on sail away day it’s on deck 5 aft by the alchemy bar. I’m having trouble posting pictures I’ll try to post the menus tomorrow night. The poncho mystery is solved the dancers in the show come out in the audience in the first few rows and dance on some platforms filled with water they splash it up pretty well but it looked as if they had warned the people up front and furnished the rain gear. The show was about 40 minutes long and was pretty entertaining. We are going to try to get into the adult comedy show later tonight as tomorrow is a sea day . We have been on a lot of cruises and we had a first tonight. We were in the promenade glass elevator when a large family started getting in we were first in and moved all the way to the back . The thing was packed and we were push as far back as we could go when the door closed all of the sudden a beeping sound went off and a led light started flashing “ overweight” “overweight” a couple of people got out when the door opened and then we went up when we got to our deck I noticed the weight limit was 2976 lbs and a max of 18 people that’s an average weight of 165 per person the were 10 of us in the elevator my wife and I aren’t small we probably go about 340 or so you can draw your own conclusion for this it was a first for me. One other note the casual dining dress code appears to include shorts and tee shirts in the mdr now I’m not a big fan of the new dress code .

Are people following the elegant night policy on your cruise? I've been on a few (non-NCL) cruises where they allowed people into the dining room wearing shorts on "formal night".
. There are people wearing everything from tuxedos to shorts in the mdr

Just curious, we normally cruise out of Galveston, Katy resident here. We are going to do a 14 day cruise our of Orlando Jan. 2019. I know it's a month later, but what's the weather like in Florida at that time? Just curious is all. I know we are going a year from now, but never hurts to know.
