Tarheel_Cruiser Posted December 6, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 6, 2017 Hi Everyone, A couple of questions about Allure. We have all our entertainment reservations booked and kind of curious about which deck of the Amber Theater you go to for checking in. And ... Is showing up 30 minutes prior okay? Also ... does the MDR on deck 5 have tables for 6 next to windows? Thanks in advance! :D
Clarea Posted December 6, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 6, 2017 Deck 4 for the main floor of the theater, 30 minutes should be fine.

Clarea Posted December 6, 2017 #4 Share Posted December 6, 2017 Thanks Bob. Deck 4 is the only place to check-in? I believe you can enter the balcony section on deck 5.
TBone2K Posted December 6, 2017 #5 Share Posted December 6, 2017 Location and arrangement of tables tends to change from sailing to sailing. So no way to know for sure about tables next to window. I saw in a recent discussion that there is an email address where you could send seating requests (Bob?), but no guarantees. Best thing to do is go visit the MDR when you board. kalliekae Posted December 6, 2017 #6 Share Posted December 6, 2017 You can definitely check into the Amber Theatre on Deck 4 or Deck 5. Just an FYI on something we didn't know.....in the MDR on the American Icon level, there is a small room on the port side with a few tables that are by the windows. It is much quieter in there, but only one waiter. We were seated in there on the last formal night when they served lobster and that poor waiter was running like a wild man. He had the whole room to himself and just could not keep up even though he tried. He finally asked for help. It took us one hour to get our entre' and we left right after eating since we could not wait for dessert due to a show. Otherwise, it would have been a great table to have for the entire cruise. Sorry, I don't remember the table numbers in that room.

If someone is in traditional dining, they can request their table preference from rcldining@rccl.com about 3 weeks before the cruise.
40yearcruiser Posted December 8, 2017 #8 Share Posted December 8, 2017 If we have Anytime dining, will it be possible to get seated in the MDR without a reservation? We delayed in making reservations and now all that is left is 9:30 or later and we don't want to eat that late. First time on RCL so we don't know how their anytime dining works on Allure. Yes, reservations are not mandatory, you can show up whenever you like. You may have a bit of a wait if you arrive at peak time.
