RosseauGirl Posted December 6, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 6, 2017 Had the opportunity today to visit the Whisper for lunch. She looks beautiful, lots of new carpets and soft goods, and lunch was delicious. The crew was gracious, as always. Wish we could have gone with them! carefreecruise Posted December 6, 2017 #3 Share Posted December 6, 2017 I was there also today. it does look a little better. Its the normal remodel they have been doing over the last five years. Just do a little here and a little there. Some parts look great and turn down a hallway and its just the same it was 10 years ago. Looks like the guests are tired of the carpet change out and contractors have not touched any hallways leading down to the rooms.

sailingskyward Posted December 9, 2017 #5 Share Posted December 9, 2017 Is it relatively simple to visit a Silversea ship when it's at your local port? What all is involved?

carefreecruise Posted December 10, 2017 #7 Share Posted December 10, 2017 Is it relatively simple to visit a Silversea ship when it's at your local port? What all is involved? Yes very easy; just board and show them your room card. They will take it from you and give you a white "visitor badge". Clip it on and wonder around, even have lunch or diner. RosseauGirl Posted December 11, 2017 Author #8 Share Posted December 11, 2017 Is it relatively simple to visit a Silversea ship when it's at your local port? What all is involved? We contacted SS through our travel agent, and received written approval a few weeks beforehand. Our names were on the Visitor List at the port front gate, and all we had to do was show our passports once on board. Quite simple! Pr3dict Posted December 15, 2017 #10 Share Posted December 15, 2017 So are the renovations still on going? I will be taking my first silversea cruise on Saturday and I'd hate to have a bad first experience.
