reilly1 Posted December 12, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 12, 2017 Have sailed Celebrity many times, but in Europe/Mediterranean/Baltic/Adriatic. First time this Easter doing two 7 night back to back cruises out of Miami. How do Celebrity handle changeover day? We have same stateroom both cruises. Do we have to disembark? Do we need to settle our account and start again? Can we keep any unused OBC for the second leg? Do we need a new key card? Any advice on this topic will be greatly appreciated. Rare cruisestitch Posted December 12, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 12, 2017 In the US you must disembark, go through Immigration formalities, and can re-embark immediately. You will get a new SeaPass card. You will settle the first account and start over with a new account. OBC does not carry over. Celebrity treats them as two completely separate cruises. Those are all certainties. But there are a few things which may or may not happen for back-to-back passengers. You might be invited to a back-to-back lunch on crossover day. You might be invited to the Concierge class lunch. Or you might have neither invitation. You might get a free bag of laundry. Some do. But often this does not happen. justcrusn Posted December 12, 2017 #3 Share Posted December 12, 2017 Yes,yes,no,yes It’s almost painless, you will meet as a group and be the last to leave, walk off the ship, be handed a new card and walk back on the ship before anyone else. It’s very unique to be on an “empty”cruise ship! Pick any deck chair you want!
WestLakeGirl Posted December 12, 2017 #4 Share Posted December 12, 2017 You can walk off the ship and immediately reboard but you can also get a transit pass and go to town if you wish. Then you won't need to wait for the group. You can leave the ship when disembarkation begins, just be back in time to not miss the ship!
