Teppanyaki reservation for 3

I'm trying to make a reservation for Teppanyaki for 3 for my cruise on Escape in March. The only options, however, are to make a reservation for 1, 2, 4, 6, or 8 for any night. I thought of doing 1+2 but then I am afraid we won't be seated together. I called NCL and they couldn't make me a reservation for 3 either. She kept trying to tell me I could book onboard but I don't want to wait and risk not getting in. We have the SDP. I am thinking of making a reservation for 4 for the second night of the cruise then on the first day cancelling one person from the reservation. I confirmed the 24 hour cancellation policy with the NCL rep. Thoughts on this? Has anyone else reduced the number on an SDP reservation once onboard? I've added the reservation for 4 to my cart and it isn't trying to charge me extra, which is a good thing.

Make the reservation for four and when you get onboard the ship go to the restaurant reservation desk and let them know it will be for three. I've done this a number of times.

Something ODD about booking ODD numbers on NCL and has nothing to do with the Casino.

Have an odd numbered party - meeting resistance from the website or other source - book an EVEN

number one more than your party and let the NCL numbers racketeers figure out how to work the

Musical Table schedule to accommodate your party.

Have more than 8 in your party make two reservations and call or alert NCL ahead of time.

When you first get on board best to contact the Guest Restaurant Reservations people or go to the

restaurant and talk directly with the hostess Maitr D' to insure that your parties reservations are all in order !

In booking one more than your party you maybe charged for that even extra person - not to worry it will be

credited back to your on board account - if a problem check with Guest Relations.

sounds like a good plan.I am surprised no one can help the OP make a reservation for 3.

Before you could make a reservation for one, even the pre-concierge had to make mine for two and then I had to change onboard the ship. OP could call NCL and see if they can make it for three.
