For us with respect to CMC, baking was something we did while seated in the MDR. I actually enjoy cooking for the holiday, but having a 3 or 5 course meal come out right while still being seated at the table to enjoy it with company is virtually impossible. And then there is clean-up. We once tried posting something on a local college website, trying to find someone who could not go home for the holidays. Offered good money, a holiday dinner and something to do out of the dorm in exchange for tending the oven and serving after I sat down for my appetizer and getting the stuff clean or in the dishwasher. No takers.
