Harmony Ice Skating

Does anyone know if Harmony of the Seas has devices to assist with younger inexperienced ice skaters during open skate.

Sure, you can use them on any ship with ice skating - they are called hands (for when you fall). Seriously, knee and elbow pads are usually provided but only the helmet is required.

It’s called a Skate Assist Bar. Not sure if they have them on HOS though. Best of luck.

Back to the OP’s question. Just checked with my kids who were on the Oasis with us last year. They tell me that there were no Skate Assist Bars available on Oasis at that time.

 

While things might be different on Harmony at this time, the rink is quite small and the use of this device would be difficult as it gets quite congested due to the popularity of the open skate.

 

That said, the majority of them are made of lightweight PVC and can be taken apart and easily transported if you decide to buy one. Typical cost is around $30.00 CAD (our dollar sucks so it’s probably about $20.00 USD)

RCCL does not provide skate assist bars on any of its ships with ice rinks. Even if you bring your own skate assist bars it's not guaranteed that RCCL will allow you to use it on the ice.

I took my 3 year old granddaughter skating on Harmony this summer. The only assist she got was from me and her dad. I did not see any type of assist bar.
