Nachi Cocom Beach

We went 3 years ago the first week of January. Booked thru site. Paid deposit via CC, balance in cash on arrival to property. They limit the number of guests per day so it wasn't crowded. I've been to nicer beaches and had better food but it was ok. The week was horrible in general due to weather but again it was January. A crap shoot.

We visited NC Dec '16 and loved it. Booked direct via NC website. Was recommendation from bartender in Miami the morning we boarded and will definitely return. Very affordable, great service and very very relaxing. Highly recommended!

We have been to Nachi Cocom twice before, Nov 07 & Jan 11, and we are going back in 2 weeks. Have always had a wonderful time. Relaxing, quiet, calm. You can book directly through them. It’s $55, pay $11 per person deposit and the balance when you arrive.

Went in January a few years ago and had a wonderful and relaxing time. We are booked again in a few months. Food was great, beach was quiet, pool was clean. It isn’t a party atmosphere if that’s what you’re looking for.

Mchiganredrose or anyone who can help - we are going to NC on Jan 19th. Planning on taking taxi there of course. I know NC takes U.S. dollars but can we pay taxi in that way also? Thanks for any and all help!!

Yes, everyone in the port area takes US dollars, including the taxis. Have fun!!!

We are really hoping to find a relaxing, affordable, beach excursion but there are so many options to choose from. Any recommendations? I found Nachi Cocom on a travel site but wanted to know if anyone has actually visited here and if so which company did you book with?

We also love Nachi Cocom but if you are looking for something more "affordable" check out Paradise Beach - $3 admission fee/chair rental, great facilities, HUGE pool, and good food, drinks and service. Large but usually not crowded. Water toys are an extra fee.

Taxi to either should be about $16-17 each way and the cab drivers and everyone else will take US dollars - bring some small bills, cab drivers everywhere including Coz never seem to have change when you pull out a $20

Welcome to the boards! ;)

Will be going top Nachi for 7th wonderful time next week. Service, food and beverage have always been outstanding. We always go early and never an issue getting a nice palapa. Beautiful beach and pool. Excursions available at shore. They usually get cheaper as the day wears on.

Haven't been in 18 months and the only downside is they do not take debit/credit cards. Cash only and no ATM. Perhaps that has changed?

I believe they do take credit cards now to pay the entrance fee or they did when we were there last March. Not sure about the vendors for excursions though.

I guess I’m in the minority because I liked Paradise much more than Nachi. The day I was at Nachi the service was lousy. We ended up walking to the bar because we had asked our waiter for a drink and half an hour later he still didn’t come back. The bar tender said to go sit back in our chairs and he would send the waiter back. So, again we waited for close to 30 minutes before he came over and it took 15 minutes for him to finally bring our drink. I know it seems like it’s not a big deal but it wasn’t at all what I was expecting.

When we went to NC for the first time (and probably the last) this past Sept. It was nice but....the pool was very hot, maybe because it was connected to the hot tub. Also there were several children in the pool area jumping and splashing everyone (and their drinks) and didn't seem supervised. So unfortunate because the pool bar was useless. We've enjoyed many all-inclusives in Mexico much nicer and more relaxing. The beach area was small, but the water wasn't rocky on the bottom....so that was nice:) The drinks seemed very weak and "watered-down."

You are not alone. We had been to Mr. Sancho's about 3 times and wanted to try Nachi before returning a few months later with 5 other couples. We were very disappointed.

We were escorted to our loungers and told a server would be right with us to take our drink order. After 15 minutes and being told by other servers that he would be right with us, I gave up and walked to the bar and got our own drinks. Had to return for a second drink before server came over and he had the worst attitude. Service remained extremely slow and he seemed "put out" when we asked for food. We decided to go to the swim up bar for a different experience and to use the Wi-Fi since it does not work at the beach.

I asked the bartender for the Wi-Fi code. He said they he didn't know what it was and that it was posted on the other side of the bar. I got out of the pool and walked to the other side and found that it was a laminated card laying on the bar that he could have handed me. On another note, the water was very warm. It was May and I would have expected it to be more refreshing.

I know that others have experienced much better service and I hope that continues, but based on our experience we will not return. We have been back to Sancho's 3 more times.

Sorry to hear you are another with bad service. I wonder if there is a particular server who perhaps won’t last long!

We have been many places on Cozumel but Nachi remains on our to-do list as we don’t generally do AI on cruise ship days. My son and DIL went a few years ago but didn’t rave about it so we still haven’t been yet!

I agree with the previous posters, we were at Nachi this past October and the service was terrible, the swimmup bar was useless because of the unsupervised kids, it was crowded, the food was terrible, it was not what we were expecting at all. There are much nicer places in Cozumel. We will not return to Nacho Cocum.

Went to Nachi in April of this past year and had an amazing time! Service was fantastic. Never had to wait long for drinks. We did get there early, but that was because we wanted to spend as much time there as possible. The food was fantastic. It wasn't crowded due to the 130 person limit. Guess, it all just depends on the day that you visit. We all loved it & would do it again!

We visited Nachi Cocum our first trip to Cozumel, and loved it so much we went several more years that we cruised. Since then, we have tried Sanchos, a local taxi/personal tour and Paradise Beach. Now, we LOOOOVE Paradise Beach! It is a great beach club and I recommend anyone going for a great beach day.
