gilligirl Posted January 2, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 2, 2018 We are sailing on OOTS next week in a Royal Family Suite. Does anyone know where to make dinner reservations for CK on embarkation day. Concierge or at CK Maitre D? I don't see it on the planner, so I am assuming you have to make them onboard

golfpccc Posted January 3, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 3, 2018 As soon as you get on board head straight to the SL & CK. The CK is open for lunch, so have your lunch and make your reservatione for dinner with the Hostess. Carla
gilligirl Posted January 3, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted January 3, 2018 I didn't think CK was open for lunch on embarkation. That is the perfect place for lunch on embarkation day. Thank you for the tip.

amcb Posted January 4, 2018 #8 Share Posted January 4, 2018 And do make reservations for every evening you think you might want to dine there. When we boarded we made reservations only for the first two nights because there was “plenty” of availability. But it booked up quickly! By the third night there were very limited slots available and none on the fourth night. Partially this was due to very large family parties taking up a good portion of the space, but if you’d like to eat there, go ahead and make the reservations as soon as you board. :) amcb
venicia Posted January 4, 2018 #9 Share Posted January 4, 2018 Totally agree with the comments above, as soon as we board we head straight to CK and make reservations for every night that we want to dine there. Just as mentioned before, one time we thought we would just decide daily but that didn't even work out for the second night!!! Book ASAP and don't forget JS may also book this for dinner and sometimes they allow guests that are not staying in a suite. We saw that a few times, I think it may have been family, but....it does happen.
yuvraj Posted January 5, 2018 #10 Share Posted January 5, 2018 I agree with the comments others have posted. CK is located next to the suite lounge. Very easy to wander over to the Maitre D' and make your bookings.
irishgal432 Posted January 5, 2018 #11 Share Posted January 5, 2018 It is open for lunch. This changed a few months back. Also the concierge should email you about a week in advance. You can request the reservations at that time. If you are not sure of specific times, you can always adjust once on board.
kz920 Posted January 5, 2018 #12 Share Posted January 5, 2018 I have never dined in CK for dinner. Only lunch and breakfast. How is it compared to the MDR and specialty restaurants?
Clarea Posted January 5, 2018 #13 Share Posted January 5, 2018 I have never dined in CK for dinner. Only lunch and breakfast. How is it compared to the MDR and specialty restaurants? Not as extensive a menu as the MDR, but nice in that the entrees are prepared to order. Can't beat the view either.

Clarea Posted January 5, 2018 #15 Share Posted January 5, 2018 Does the menu change? Yes, the menu changes daily, and they will also offer lobster tail on the night it's offered in the MDR.
