Keep your eyes on the Air Tahiti Nui website and sign up for their email alerts, etc. Currently, they are running $399.00 + taxes, LAX/PPT. For this offer, you must depart by Dec. 31 and return by January 22. But they frequently have specials. Another place to look is Air Pacific. They also fly to Tahiti and frequently have "BULA" (means welcome) specials. Sometimes it is cheaper to fly to Fiji direct from LAX and then catch Air Pacific's short hopper to Tahiti. Enjoy!!!!

Thanks for info. I have been checking Air Tahitineu and they only have up to March 31st so far. I'll keep looking

Also, watch for taxes and fees. One sight I reviewed showed about $155/pp extra in the fine print.

we are flying air new zealand from LAX to Papeete in April for $823 including taxes. The fare is on their web site under web specials. I've searched many consolidators and other airlines (including air tahiti nui) and could not find anything better. Plus you get frequent flyer miles on United.:)
