GTO-Girl Posted January 7, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 7, 2018 Traveling on Liberty of the Seas in Feb. Looking to spend a day at a beach resort in Jamaica, Cozumel, or Grand Cayman. Any recommendations for day passes? In Cozumel we like Nachi Cocom. $55pp for all you can eat and drink all day. Very quiet as they only take 130 people. Nice pool with swim up bar and right on the beach. In Grand Cayman check out Royal Palms. Not far from the port with a nice “adult only” pool. Also go to the Ports of Call section here on the boards for each one and you will get a lot of good info. Have a great cruise!!
CanadaDeb Posted January 7, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 7, 2018 In Cozumel, we visited Nachi Cocom and loved it. Great day with heated pool and great food and service. In Montego Bay we visited Sunscape and it was ok. The resort is dated but it was ok for a day...there is a lazy river though so that's a plus. Another plus is that it is close to the port. leaveitallbehind Posted January 7, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 7, 2018 As mentioned by others there are a couple to choose from in Cozumel. Google it to see some options or go to the ports of call thread on CC and look there. Do that for all your destinations. Not aware of any day passes in Grand Cayman, but you can visit a few resort locations and do it a la carte for chairs, umbrellas, and restaurants. Not sure what the best choices are in Jamaica either.
easyboy Posted January 7, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 7, 2018 We also go to Mr. Sancho’s at Cozumel. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
jdvmd Posted January 7, 2018 #6 Share Posted January 7, 2018 Another vote for Mr. Sanchos in Cozumel. In GC, the Royal Palm is a very good choice.
vamartha Posted January 7, 2018 #7 Share Posted January 7, 2018 Which port in Jamaica? Cozumel and Grand Cayman are both so easy to do on your own but we've done one in Montego Bay (and would probably go this route for a future Jamaica port call). We use resortsforaday (Google it) and we used them for the Hilton Rose Hall in Montego Bay. As long as I was not going for the beach, I'd do it again. The food is good, the service is impeccable and the water park is decent, basically it is a lazy river with a pool and swim up bar. They also have another beautiful pool, beach front. The beach itself is a bit on the small side.
Go-Bucks! Posted January 8, 2018 #8 Share Posted January 8, 2018 Traveling on Liberty of the Seas in Feb. Looking to spend a day at a beach resort in Jamaica, Cozumel, or Grand Cayman. Any recommendations for day passes? We used Shore Excursioneer to book our Jamaica and Cozumel all inclusive - very easy. Jamaica - Falmouth All Inclusive Royalton 2 for 1 Resorts Day Pass Excursion. We got a day pass to the White Sands resort; it was fantastic. Biggest and best buffet I've ever had. Cozumel - Cozumel Mexican Cooking Class and Playa Mia Beach Break Excursion. Not sure they're doing the cooking class now, but the Playa Mia Beach Resort was great. Got a mani/pedi there too. Grand Cayman - we booked a pool cabana at the Royal Palms Beach Club. Was a great day! Can sit by the ocean too. Book online, but cabanas go quickly. Can have a lounger on the beach for about $2-5, I think.
