1. You can store your bags for a fee at the MIA airport - then catch the Airport Flyer bus (about $3 each) to South Beach for the day

2. You can store your bags for a fee at the Luggage Lounge in South Beach

3. You can book a day pass at a resort and tip/pay then to store your bags while you use their pool and other facilities

www.resortpass.com is one site to check

4. You can rent a car, put the bags in the trunk, and then go where you want for the day

Our flight home (I hate to even think about coming back to this cold, miserable, high taxed state) is late and we will want to store our luggage some place so we can explore Miami. Any suggestions? Thanks!

This happens quite often to us. Our flight is later in the day and we don't want to haul our bags around Miami.

So ... we use the Luggage Valet service with Celebrity or Royal Caribbean. They take your bags from the ship to the Miami airport and check them in for you. It's either $25 or free if you are in a suite.

I don't know if Carnival has a similar service, but HAL and Princess have similar services.
