Brest, France

One of our ports on our Oceania Iberian Radiance cruise in September 2018 is Brest, France. I've done a lot of searching on Cruise Critic for this port and cannot find very much information. Only a couple of much older posts, nothing current. I'm hoping other cruisers who have stopped at this port will share their experiences, whether they've stayed in the town, hired a tour guide to see other sites, etc. We are not fans of large group ship tours, so we would love to hire a private guide to drive us around the beautiful countryside of Brittany. Thanks so much for any help your offer.

We spent a week in Brittany last year and I did a lot of research before going. We stayed further down the coast in the end, but there seemed to be quite a lot to do.

My OH is very interested in WWII history and there is a lot based on the war.

I did most of my research on Tripadvisor and local tourist office websites and found plenty of info.
