cruisekitty22 Posted January 16, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 16, 2018 Is it true this ship no longer has formal night on their short cruises (4 nights) to the Bahamas and Key West? What do people usually wear to dinner on this ship? Can we wear a polo shirt and nice black pants for Hubby?

You will see everything from shorts to suits in the MDR. Don't miss brunch on sea days.

So yes, you can wear it.

Scotty G Posted January 16, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 16, 2018 No problem, dress suggestions are not enforced, so you can wear whatever you like. We were surprised on both of our Empress cruises out of Miami that there were quite a few folks who dressed up each night despite there not being a formal night. Our experience lately is that both ends of the dress spectrum are alive and well ;)
oatbagg1 Posted January 16, 2018 #6 Share Posted January 16, 2018 yes, they do. However our Matre de was horrified the front of the restaurant let in a group of 8 wearing swimsuits, cover-ups and brought their beach towels in. He said, he couldn't do anything about it now that they were seated.
Snit13 Posted January 17, 2018 #7 Share Posted January 17, 2018 When we sailed Empress in October we wore dress shorts to MDR every night. No problem.
