Being from Arizona, I REALLY do understand peak summer heat. Easily 110+ degrees F most days here in July and August. Walk the dogs by 7 am or after 8pm when it's at low temps of 80 degrees F. I get it ;) Our other trips "Down Under" have been in April or June so the weather wasn't dreadfully hot. I'm not sure, however, that folks stop to think about how hot summer temps can be. My point was to make sure the poster who was planning to walk, with luggage, from OPT to Circular Quay in January knows exactly what to expect.
