princeton12321 Posted January 27, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 27, 2018 There’s not much near where the ship is docked- the Dockyard is a bit of a tourist trap. You’re going to have to hoof it out by taxi or ferry. In Hamilton (ferry ride) there’s 1609 right on the water. It’s reasonably priced for Bermuda. Attached to the Hamilton Princess Hotel. You could also take a taxi to the Fairmont Southampton. The back lawn of the hotel has great views of the sunset (although sadly no restaurant or bar overlooks it- you can go sit out back on Adirondack chairs). In the hotel itself there are several restaurants. Down by the water there is the Dock at the Waterlot Inn. It’s a mode casual, less expensive sister lounge to the fine dining Waterlot Inn. Much further away is the Beach House at Blackbeard’s. Part of the St George’s Club. You can eat here with a sunset view- it’s pretty reasonable at lunch but dinner is a little more expensive. I wouldn’t put our meal quote into the fine dining category but it was good and the views were nice. Only trouble with this is it’s on the opposite side of the island from the Dockyard. Ferry might run later but you might get stuck taking a cab back.

modelman Posted January 29, 2018 #8 Share Posted January 29, 2018 I would say don't spend the money on a cab back from Hamilton, instead go to Cambridge Beaches which is fairly close to dockyard, 10 minute drive. So a much less expensive taxi each way, stunning sunsets, and a delightful menu. Food is definitely pricier, but you would save on the taxi home. http://www.cambridgebeaches.com/_downloads/Breezes-Dinner-Menu-2016.pdf

Charles4515 Posted January 29, 2018 #10 Share Posted January 29, 2018 Actually some of the sunsets over dockyard from NCL Dawn's deck 12 Buffet have been spectacular. Escape has The Waterfront. Probably can see the sunset from there. The Bermuda suggestions have been good and there are more possibilities but places on the water in Bermuda are going to be expensive. Probably higher than their desired mid range. The restaurants have menus on their web site so OP can google the places and see if the prices are in their range.
