Icy Straight and Victoria

My family is doing Alaska in late June and we have no idea what to do in the last 2 ports any ideas? In Skagway we are doing the Jeep tour and in Juneau we are doing the tour with Capt Larry.

If an excursion to Butchart Gardens is an option in Victoria - go there! It is absolutely beautiful - especially the Sunken Gardens.

I went with a private vender in Hoonah and saw the area, extremely interesting for me. Whale watching is just excellent here as well. As for Victoria- what is your port time? Butchart Gardens is certainly a highlight but you will be limited to the ship tour which may be short if you don't get to port until 6pm. The Inner Harbor is worth a walk around.

I went with Keith Skafelstad, brown bear watching and area tour, including some hiking, berry picking etc. :) I had an excellent time, he was recommeded to me by my ship naturalist friend, so I knew he would be great. :) He has a boat and books fishing and whale watches as well.

We went to Icy Straight last August and whale watched with Chris & John Erickson. They were GREAT! Relaxed, layed back. Saw lots of whales. There were four passesngers on the boat. It was the way to go for us!
