US citizen living in UK wanting to buy from US Travel Agent

I am a US citizen living with my UK wife in the south of England. I still hold a valid US drivers license that is registered to my parents house.

My wife and I are interested in booking a cruise for next April and I have been checking both the US and UK websites. The cruise I am looking at would currently cost around £2500 while the same cruise on the US site would cost around £1700, if converted from USD.

I was wondering if you are able to book cruises through a US portal even though they are wanting zip codes for both my wife and I. If the booking goes through, do you get rejected when you arrive to check in? The last mediterranean cruise that we took with NCL, I don't even remember them validating our residency anywhere.

I am not wanting to get in trouble or break any laws, just trying to save £800 if there is nothing illegal in doing so.

Thanks for the advice.

You will not be rejected at check-in. We have several friends in the UK that book through US travel agents. The only caveat I might add is that if you book with a US residency rate, they may want to see your driver's license. They have never asked me to show a residency document, but yiou never know.

Thanks for the quick responses everyone! Are you allowed to share any reliable US travel agencies on here? If not don't worry, I will go do my homework on the normal cruisecritic.com.

One of the rules of this website is that we cannot name travel agents.
