Orlando to Cocoa Beach?

Recommended Posts

Folks here have done it all! Cruise line buses, limos, Uber, rental cars, shared shuttle vans, private shuttle vans.

Are you looking for cheapest or most convenient? Are you flying in the morning of your cruise? How many people?

All around convenient would probably be nice. We will be flying in the night before, and we'll be getting a hotel, 2 people.

We have used a car service both times from MCO to Melbourne. I found them on limos.com Coming from the west coast we always get in late so hate the hassle and once had young grandkids so needed car seats. For a small fee we had the service do inside "meet & greet" helped with luggage and provided car seats. So nice after a long flight.

Most convenient for us is a one-way rental car. Gives us flexibility in hotel, restaurants, shopping, etc. Return to any of a number of agencies in the port area, and take the free shuttle to the cruise terminal.

I agree with the rental car suggestions.

Here is more information about your Comfort Inn with photos: http://cruiseportcanaveral.us/comfort-inn-suites-port-canaveral-area/

You will note the hotel offers a fly & cruise package that includes all transportation if you do not want to rent a car. Just a suggestion but the rental is best!

Rent the car at MCO with the drop off at the agency's PC/Cocoa Beach location - all of the major agencies are there (Hertz, Avis, Budget, etc. and all offer free shuttle service to the port. You can either drop off some of your party and all of the bags with the porters, then return the car and only one rides the car rental shuttle, or just return the car and everyone and bags rides the shuttle to the port.

Use your favorite travel web site to compare rates among agencies (I like www dot carrentals dot com), and also plug in any discount codes (AAA, COSTCO, etc.) in the car rental web sites. Check with your personal auto policy -- it likely covers your rental car and you can skip/avoid most or all of the expensive insurance and waivers they try to sell.

Bring some quarters for the toll road and you are good to go! It is an easy drive and takes just under an hour to get from MCO to PC.

Have a great cruise! :D

Hi,

Want to go to Coco Beach for the day from cruise terminal. Is there a regular shuttle from the cruise pier? What is the best way to get to the beach from cruise terminal and how much does it cost?

Thank you!
