RedLeg72 Posted February 9, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 9, 2018 Going on AOTS in april with the family. Ive got 15 year old twin boys who like their sleep and im sure they will have many late nights on the ship (I should also say a good friend of theirs will also be on the ship). My question is, when we go to Coco Cay, can my wife and I take a tender over in the morning and have the boys meet us later in the day, or will one of us have to go back to the ship and get them? Thanks.
Grandma Dazzles Posted February 9, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 9, 2018 Welcome to CC. For specific questions about any RC ship you might want to clarify AOS - Anthem, Adventure, etc Not sure about Coco Cay as it's RC's private location. Again, not certain, but pretty sure, that at a regular port of call you would need to be with them, as you are entering a foreign country. Also, just FYI kids won't be up that late. Most ships have a curfew; usually around 1:00 am. If they are out past curfew security will escort them back to their cabin. They are pretty strict on this. Cru1s1ng2009 Posted February 9, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 9, 2018 My teen daughter has a few cruise friends who now get their parents to book the same dates every year. Because of this, they are out till the last possible moment until security shuffles them along. They will be up till 1 or 2 but if your kids are anything like mine, they come back and pass out in moments, LOL. On the private islands they can come and go as their please after 14 if I am not mistaken.

SECdawg Posted February 9, 2018 #6 Share Posted February 9, 2018 We have never had problems with the teens coming and going without us on Coco Cay. If you are at another port they will always make sure there is an adult with them.
taglovestocruise Posted February 9, 2018 #7 Share Posted February 9, 2018 We were on Labadee last year and our granddaughter made a trip back and forth to get her phone she left in the cabin. No problem getting on or off the ship, she was 12 at the time. Same cruise her dad stopped and stayed at the bar at the end of the pier in Cozumel and she she went onto to the ship and to the kids club by herself with no problem. happy cruising
