Our shore excursion to swim with the stingrays was canceled for tomorrow. We have never been to the Cayman Islands and this was one of our main must-do things. does anyone have a suggestion without being able to get a reservation on how to do this tomorrow?

You can grab a tour right from the cruise port. $20 per person and you'll hit some of the highlights of the island; turtle center or dolphins, the official residence of the governor, 7 mile beach, small rum cake place...

We didn't have a reservation and didn't have a problem fitting us in.

As soon as you get off the tender, there will be a dozen tour booths. See what they are selling and jump on something that sounds interesting.

Take a Taxi ($4 pp) to Royal Palms Beach Club on 7 mile beach and rent chairs for the day. They have a bar, restaurant, and adult pool.

We were at Royal Palms last week. It was close to the port and it was a great beach, great service and the food was fantastic. There are several excursions being offered as you exit the port.

I think it sounded like the OP wanted to do the stingray swim specifically. Do they sell those tours right at the dock?

I may be late to this thread, but you could walk to Captain Marvin's. He gives good tours and may be able to squeeze you into something last minute.

Well, you can just go to Hell.

 

Literally, there is a place there called Hell. Interesting and included in most island tours.

 

I highly recommend excursion to the turtle farm, particularly if you have kids with you. They allow time to eat and their is an enclosed lagoon where you can swim.

The OP is trying to see the stingrays.......It was one of her main, must do things she clearly writes.

 

Once you get off the ship there will be vendors selling tours right there. The stingrays is great, you don't want to miss it and you'll be able to pick up a tour right from the pier. It's a lot better than the Turtle Farm or Hell, I've done it all on Grand Caymen.
