Leave tomorrow second cruise, first one with kids. quick question from a noob cruiser

I have FTTF and am wondering if I can carry on a larger suitcase instead of leaving it with the porters? I know our room is supposed to be ready when we get on the ship so I should be able to go down and leave it there. I thought it might be nice to have our evening clothing (going to the steak house) and the kids swimsuits and "kid gear" already with us and that really doesn't all fit in a carry on so thought this might be easier. Or will I get funny looks and wth that isn't a carryon!

 

Thanks. I googled for this, but didn't really find any info beyond passengers after 2 have to carry on.

As Long as it fits through the Luggage/security scanner you will be fine.....Assume its the same size as Airport

As lcpagejr said, as long as it goes through the scanner you're fine. You can carry all of your luggage on if you're so inclined to.

You will see many people on the lido and in the buffet area lugging their full size suitcases that they carried on. You will not be alone.

As long as you can carry it it's a "carryon". There is not one size for this. We always carry on our luggage and never give it to porters.
