PORT ROYAL Posted February 21, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 21, 2018 Hi I am looking at booking a single room on QV in 2020 and have noticed that the rooms are next to the Casino does anyone know if much noise comes from it? Thanx Casino is small and mostly poorly attended. This is Cunard, so the sound insulation is top notch. Be happy to book with confidence and enjoy. Welcome to Cunard. Bell Boy Posted February 21, 2018 #3 Share Posted February 21, 2018 No noise problems at all. I have another of this type of category booked for an Alaska trip in 2019, however, I won't be rushing to book this category again, as I much prefer to be a little higher up. hihilo Posted February 21, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 21, 2018 I have observed ALL 3 Queens have casinos that are small, and poorly attended. Thank goodness noisy gambling areas are N O T any part of any "Q".
tv24 Posted February 22, 2018 #5 Share Posted February 22, 2018 Well the casinos on Cunard are not wild and crazy. Sometimes they are downright empty. And even when they are popular, the crowd is rather subdued and quiet.

PORT ROYAL Posted February 22, 2018 #7 Share Posted February 22, 2018 It's the Brits, We don't have the cash to flash like our American cousins ;p;) Sorry, you are incorrect. 'Brits' do have identical spending capacity as Americans on Cunard.
DDBINK1 Posted February 22, 2018 #8 Share Posted February 22, 2018 It's the Brits, We don't have the cash to flash like our American cousins ;p;) Wait a second, I am American but having cash to flash is something I missed out on. I do have a credit card, Does that count??
bill_posters_is_innocent Posted February 23, 2018 #9 Share Posted February 23, 2018 Hi I am looking at booking a single room on QV in 2020 and have noticed that the rooms are next to the Casino does anyone know if much noise comes from it? Thanx Only the subdued sobbing of a casino patron who realises they have lost far too much money.. Or, on rare occasions, the shouts of joy from someone who has actually won. :o
johnnycruise2020 Posted February 27, 2018 #10 Share Posted February 27, 2018 Hi, no one else seems to have mentioned this but I found the solo cabins to be really noisy. I was on a four night cruise on QV in Jan in room 2016. I could hear the staff, the noise at docking etc. It was quite bad and had to wear my noise cancelling headphones! Eeek Sent from my iPhone using Forums The OP's question referred to 'noise from the casino' . I have stayed in one of these new cabins ( have another booked for 2019 QE) there is no noise from the casino area and I was never disturbed from staff members talking. However, with any cabin on a 'very low deck' it is to be expected on port intensive itineraries one could be disturbed during the docking procedure.
