derekandkimberly Posted December 24, 2005 #1 Share Posted December 24, 2005 We are on the Serenade of the Seas in the Southern Carribean next month as most of you know. My wife really wants to see breathtaking waterfalls somewhere. Maybe St.Lucia?? Does anyone know of any excursions that include a trip to a tropical rainforest with waterfalls and a beach afterwards???
The Big Booper Posted December 24, 2005 #2 Share Posted December 24, 2005 Didn't RCI send you an excursions booklet along with your trip materials? They try to get people to book trips ahead of time at the website. Even if you have mislaid it, why not go to the RCI website and browse for excursions there. We were on the Encantment out of Boston to Canada in Sept of this year to places we hadn't been to before and booked 5 trips in advance. The booklet had good descriptions of all the tours available. truffles2 Posted December 24, 2005 #3 Share Posted December 24, 2005 We have done the southern route several times and if there are any "breathtaking" waterfalls I don't know about them. There is, however, in St. Lucia a nice waterfall in the botanical garden (if my memory is correct). We did the "Land & Sea to Soufriere" excursion (through the ship) and went down to the Pitons by sea, had lunch at a plantation, and returned by land. It was a long excursion (7 hours I think) but we saw a great deal of the island. The Botanical Garden in (or was) included on our tour.
derekandkimberly Posted December 24, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted December 24, 2005 We haven't gotten our documents yet. We are 28 days away....Hopefully they will be here soon. I've seen a bunch of waterfall pics in magazines for st lucia. Maybe we will just ask a cabby.
39august Posted December 24, 2005 #5 Share Posted December 24, 2005 There is a lot of information on the Ports of Call board for St. Lucia. The falls is a looong way from the port. I would take an excursion as truffles said. St. Lucia is a gorgeous island!
