Bridge cam hope they can see.

This isn't about how much you have cruised it is about these companies and continuing their greed of keeping these runs alive. They skipped a day to make it back to NYC on time in the middle of a Bombogenis storm. Hope all 3 Azipods hold for the next 7 hours, if they start failing this vessel has no steering capability in 35 to 40' seas. Wishing them all an uneventful last hours ride back to NYC!

This reminds me why I will never do a Trans Atlantic run or as Scott Styles said " I wished it had happened in July"

They have it under control. They know what they are doing, trust me. All 3 pages of this thread, no negative comments until yours, so why do you feel need to make comments. Also, after looking at your signature, have you sailed NCL, and if not, why are you posting on here.

Agree...Perhaps she should be monitoring RCL board for Anthem of Seas updates!! Also....Gotta love her greed comment. Notice she said nothing about the passengers who also have home/work commitments after cruise..... Its as if....who cares when they get home!!

All going well, still pretty rough off coast of NJ.

Showing traveling at 17 knots (faster than we have gone since rescue) 34 ft waves and 35 mph winds.

Crew doing awesome job, some “messes” here and there, mostly first timers, but overall great trip.

Upset missed Nassau and bought Thermal Spa pass but most closed since Thursday night.

Bad weather sucks!!!!! Cruising is by far still my favorite mode of vacationing

Bravo to Breakaway staff for making another safe & memorable vacation

To those onboard the BA, welcome home ... got you on AIS data tracking in the 3+ hours, slowing down from 16 knots to 14 knots, 40 to 50 n.m. off the coast of Barnaget & Long Beach, NJ ... Seaside Height soon, with a bit of reflected lights from ship's live webcam.

Looking good with an ETA around 5 to 6 AM ... the only thing uncertain, whether a pilot boat can and will make its way out to escort by the Ambrose Channel.

Earned those bragging rights for strong sea legs - ground transportation should be in fairly good shape by the morning ... except, perhaps for ferry services. :halo:

Actually I have sailed on the Norway, so I have. This is again harsh that people have to deal with 36 hours of 30+ waves, but, for all of you that luv it good for you. I wish all of you the 2+ hours I hope those Azipods still work.

If you can't handle the seas on a cruise from the NORTH DURING WINTER, don't book a cruise from the North! It happens several times each year on cruises from New York. Everyone is 100% safe, despite what all the fear mongers try to tell people.

You're the only one here complaining! Even people onboard the freaking ship haven't even complained. Stick to the land vacations wimp!

There is no need to insult someone because they said NCL is greedy. You are taking it very personally.

I was on the Breakaway a few weeks ago with rough seas. The Captain made no announcements and could not care less about the comfort of passengers. They deserved the negative publicity back in January when they sailed into a storm because the Captain and his officers are incompetent. It doesn't matter that Cruise Critic members are used to "rough" cruises so that makes it okay. NCL is a corporation which cares about its profits first, and then you second. This includes travelling fast back to New York in a storm making passengers uncomfortable so that they will be on time with loading more cattle at New York for the next cruise.

Chris, was on the same cruise. Seas weren't that rough. A little rocking over night between day 2 and 3. Then rougher the night between day 8 and 9. But nothing that would require an announcement from the captain. Of all the reviews of our cruise you are the only one who mentioned about the captain not making an announcement

AGREED. I was on the same cruise and already commented there was no need for an announcement and no day or night was rough at all. We had a perfect cruise weather wise and sea state wise on a February cruise from NYC.

Of course we knew the possibility of bad weather in winter. We were fine, and the ship performed exactly the way it was designed to. Skipping Nassau allowed us to take our time up the coast instead of just plowing through at full speed. Obviously not an engineer, Breakaway only has 2 azipods, not 3. Probably just wanted to use a word to sound good because the Gem had a problem with one a few months ago.
