Verizon - can you call n text ?

Hello

I have the U unlimited plan, can you talk, text, and use the web from Cozumel n costa maya with no additional charge? I was told yes by a friend but I wanted to make sure

Not unless you have an international plan. They have a travel pass that is $5.00 a day per device when used in another country. Worth getting if you won't be around free WiFi in port.

You need to go online to Verizon's trip planner. Linked below. When I did this, it said I could use my phone for free in Mexico, but that there would be a charge in Belize and Honduras.

You must first activate the Travel Pass option with Verizon... Then, there will be a $5.00 fee for use in Mexico. (It lasts 24 hours from the time you activate) You can call, text, and surf the web using your regular plan minutes and data. If you are visiting Cozumel and Costa Maya on two consecutive days, your pass will cover both days within the 24 hour window.

I have the Verizon unlimited plan and just checked before we left in January and we were covered. I didn't have to any thing other than just checked on the website. We weren't billed any extra for a travel pass or using my phone

We have the Unlimited Plan . Check the Verizon site. Calls and text are included at no cost. Data is LTE for first 500 MB the reduced to 2g after that. That is per day. You might not be able to stream movies or vid. But ,FB text and call are all good. Gonna be using it week of March 11 on freedom.
