Water temp Mallorca

Recommended Posts

You are wrong... beach time in the Med starts -on a normal year- by late April albeit water is still cold by then and few dare to do much more than a quick "flash visit" to the water, but by mid-May, the water temperature is good enough for "normal" people to swim. Note there are people swimming all year round, but you need to be damn brave for that -I'm not, LOL!. But again, it all boils down to what you understand for "good enough to swim". Check this website for precise data: https://seatemperature.info/palma-de-mallorca-water-temperature.html

72 degree water = too cold to enjoy

If You pick a sheltered bay (Illetas beach) the water temp can be slightly higher also you will need to go in the water to cool off , I am always swimming from the 1st of June and it is warm enough.

ROFL. For those raised on the Jersey shore or North of that area....72 was pretty normal :). That being said, in our old age we now prefer South Carolina beaches where the temps are often in the 80s :). We have swam at Mallorca in July and the water was nice (probably mid to upper 70s) but have never been there in June.
